Right at twilight on this snowy evening, Venus and Jupiter twinkled brightly just under our sliver moon.

Great capture! We had wintery mix all day yesterday so had no view of this rare sight! Thanks for sharing it. I thought they were going to be closer together though, did you?

Thanks. :) I think how close they are depends on timing and location. Maybe they did get closer to the moon as the sun set? I know that in Europe, from their vantage point, the moon will eclipse venus' trajectory. So, it will appear that Venus rises right off the moon at one point.

I think it's very interesting that Venus is the planet of love, Jupiter of truth and the moon of deception. Interesting symbology in these times.

Great!
I was going to try and take a pic but it got extremely windy. It was a beautiful sight when the clouds weren't blocking it.
