Maybe they did get closer to the moon as the sun set? I know that in Europe, from their vantage point, the moon will eclipse venus' trajectory. So, it will appear that Venus rises right off the moon at one point.<BR/><BR/>I think it's very interesting that Venus is the planet of love, Jupiter of truth and the moon of deception.
