Deer in Morning Snow Storm

Deer in Morning Snow Storm

I captured these poor deer on film this morning after they had been hiding in our trees for shelter from our snow storm. They look so cold. Check out the antlers on that young buck.

There were at least 20 spread out down the hill to the left. Our llamas are inside that shelter on the right, watching the deer.

WOW You live in a wonderful place.

Are many deer actually injured by the cold weather?

Great photo

Thank you PandP. We have been through a lot hanging onto what we feel God gave us. It's worth the fight. There is so much rich history right on our property.

I don't think I've ever seen a deer injured by the cold weather and it amazes me. We can have pretty strong steady freezing winds with gusts up in the 70 mph range and sleet, too. All our animals have shelters that they can choose to use. You know it's cold when the llamas are all in shelters!
