Happy Birthday Jesus!

Happy Birthday Yeshua!! You changed the world, calendars, time, and lives. Your gift is available for all and given freely in complete and perfect Love to those who ask and want it. Although, we know the gift was not free to You and came at great cost. How can we ever give You enough gifts back? Hope it's Your best year so far! :D

Does anyone else here celebrate Jesus' birthday 09/29? I celebrate His birth of 09/29 because of Luke Chapter one breaking down John the Baptist's birthday. He was six months in Elisabeth's womb the day Mary miraculously conceived Jesus and ran to Elisabeth's house where John leapt in Elisabeth's womb at the presence of Jesus in Mary's womb. Just for the record, that day of miraculous conception according to Luke Chapter 1 was 12/25 so I celebrate Christmas as the day He truly came to dwell with us all.

Here's a great site that explains the courses and their time frames What day was Jesus born?

Irish Wolfhound Double Rainbow kind of Day

Well, I was finally able to work a bit on a painting I made of our beautiful Irish Wolfhound, Oakley, that we lost last year at Christmas due to a rapid bone cancer. She seemed totally fine and was galavanting around the farm with us one day and eight days later we were sending her back to God. She was in our lives for eight wonderful years. I worked a bit on the original acrylic painting in Photoshop.
I found this story that most people with Irish Wolfhounds in their lives have heard. I found it on http://www.irishwolfhounds.org/gelert.htm There is more information on this amazing and loyal breed there. Here's the quite possibly true story.

The Story of Gelert
Llewellyn, prince of Wales, is said to have loved the chase above all else but always took with him his Irish wolf- dog, Gelert. The prince had many hounds, but Gelert was his favourite and was always there for the morning hunt. However, one day Gelert did not turn up and eventually Llewellyn went off with his followers and the hounds but could not enjoy his day and in the end hurried back home to find out what had happened to Gelert. He was met by Gelert, giving his usual greeting, but Llewellyn was horrified to find that Gelert was covered in blood. Hurrying into the castle, he went to see his infant son but found the cradle overturned and empty, with no sign of the child, but with blood everywhere.
Concluding that Gelert must have killed and eaten the baby, Llewellyn drew his sword and plunged it into the hound. The stricken Gelert gave a long-drawn out howl as he died and this cry was followed by a child's wail. Llewellyn searched for the source of this sound and found his child under a pile of bedding from the cradle, completely unharmed, and close by was the body of a gaunt wolf, which had obviously been slain by Gelert after a bloody battle.
Horrified at what he had done, and stricken by remorse, Llewellyn had the body of Gelert buried with due pomp and the place was afterwards known as Bedd Gelert (the grave of Gelert), as was the town that grew up near to it.
Gelert's grave
It was said that Prince John (later King John) of England had made a gift of a hound to Llewellyn in 1210 and that this was Gelert. The Hon. W.R. Spencer wrote a poem about him, the first part of which is thus:
The flower of all his raceSo true, so brave - a lamb at home, A lion in the chase.'Twas only at Llewellyn's board the faithful Gelert fed;He watched, he served, he cheered his lordAnd sentinelled his bed.In sooth he was a peerless hound,The gift of Royal John.0

Gilded Cloud World

Psalm 147:4 He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names.

God wrote His-story in the stars where no human hand could corrupt it. It's been there all along above our heads. The story is summed up in Genesis 3:15. With His story being written, the teaching of the story in the heavens faded away and has been corrupted by some doing pop astrology to satisfy themselves with knowledge of themselves instead of finding the satisfaction of their part in His story.

The sky is divided into 12 "houses". Where does the story start? How would we ever know where we break into this circle? God left us a signpost. The word sphinx comes from the Greek "sphingo" which means "to join" as in to join two ends of a circle. The Sphinx has the head of a woman (virgin-virgo) and the body of a lion (leo). His story in the heavens starts in Virgo - and ends in Leo.

Jeremiah 32:19-20
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for Thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
20 Which has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made Thee a name, as at this day;

The stars were named and grouped together by God. Some of the original names still exist and researching into their names and groupings is a very interesting search into His plan.

Psalm 27:10

How Do We Worship?

How Do We Worship?

I remember when I was little asking what we do in heaven. I was told that we get to worship God all day. I think if anyone would have asked me, "What is God doing while everyone is worshipping Him?", I would have answered something like, "Oh, I don't know, sitting on His throne, being fanned by worshippers, watching the worshippers at His feet kneeling. He would also be eating grapes or something."

As I've matured, I've learned more about Him from studying the letter He left for us to read, the Bible. My vision of what He will be doing while we all worship Him has changed dramatically. He created EVERYTHING. He owns EVERYTHING. He's profoundly interesting and He intimately cares about each one of us.

I don't think He will be sitting on His throne all the day long. I think He will be interacting with us and engaging our minds and hearts in a most profound way. I think of how amazing going on a hike with Him as a guide, through nature that He created will be. Obviously, He loves His creation when I think about all the most amazing details and huge expansive landscapes He has created.

He is the most interesting and amazing Person ever. I envision worshipping Him as spending time with Him and how can anyone help but LOVE Him?! He loves us so much that He created all this for us to enjoy WITH Him. For me, to know Him is to love Him more deeply every day. And I do mean love in the sense that we feel and know love for other people in our lives. Only with God, anything that hurts is fleeting and is always only for my own greater good and the good of those around me that I love. It's an absolute joy to be filled with love to give as well as to receive love from HIM!

It's so funny that my original thoughts on worship were that it would be a bit of a drudge. Getting all gussied up, singing memorized songs, kneeling a lot, trying to hold my yawn in, but tears squishing out of my eyes anyway, thinking I HAVE to do this to be "proper" and "respectful" and "good".

If we worship God like that, I think of the parallels of our own children. Imagine your children have all the proper manners, say "Yes, m'am and yes, sir.", thank you at the appropriate time and with a sense of duty, complete all their chores, and do everything a parent could dream. But there is no joy in being in your company, there's no laughter or smiles or closeness. It's all cold, dutiful, obeying of all the rules.

I believe God created His children and all this wonderous universe in order to SHARE the joy and wonderment and laugh with and smile with. Is there any greater joy than seeing your own children at peace, with joy in their hearts after you've set up a day for them to enjoy? Why would God be different?

He is with us always. I hope all of us go out and truly ENJOY His company today and every day.
